[Opinions] Skyler?
What do you think of Skyler for a boy? To feminine? It would be Skyler Charles, and I really like it but everyone I tell sasys its to girly..need some help...

I like the name Skyler, but only for a girl. The nn Skye just seems too feminine for a boy.
I don't think it's girly, I just don't care for it. But I definitely prefer it on a boy (though when I was about 12, I loved "Skylar" for a girl, ugh).
I went to school with a Skyler last year who had the German spelling, Schuyler. I actually prefer that variant. Otherwise it works for either.
I love Skyler and Skylar. It's not to feminine. Don't listen to them. People should stop stereotyping these boy names on girls!
Power to you if you like it on a boy!
My son is named Keraden Skylaye so I like 'Sky' names on either sex, but I prefer them on boys.

It's not too femme. Like Lissa I spell it Skylar for girls, Skyler or Schuyler for boys. I agree with Lissa also about the flow of the combo with Charles - it's a bit awkward. But I don't think flow is all that important, to be honest. I like ducky's combos with Andrew and Anthony.

My best friend plans on using the name whether she has a boy or a girl. I don't think that its too feminine at all. I went to school with a boy Skylar, by the way, I like that spelling better.
I don't care for the name - it's very trendy. I don't find it masculine or feminine. But, I do prefer the spelling Skyler for a boy (Skylar) for a girl. Mostly, it just isn't a name to me, and if I recall, it's a type of Ford Mustang (correct me if I'm wrong). I do like the name Charles, but I don't think the combo flows, because of the r of both names.
