I don't like Pruitt/Prewitt.
Of your 2 combo's, I'd choose Pruitt Elijah.
Pru does not work for me as a boy's nn. In my mind, it is short for Prudence, which, also in my mind, is stricly a girl's name.

I looked it up after I typed my message and it did say Feminine (Pru). I'm not one for nn's so prob. wouldn't use it anyway.
