"Nexus" is a name often used in sci-fi because it has such a great meaning: the connection point or center of a phenomenon.

i dont' know if anyone will scroll down far enough to read my message since there are so many before it, but here's what i know--
The Nexus was the name of a ribbon of energy that passes through space in a star trek movie. This energy ribbon had some kind of connection between time and space, and if in it a person could live anytime they wanted and be anyone they wanted. Actually, Picard went into this nexus and brought out Kirk...
