I like it on boys too. I've only met 2 Danas personally in my whole life, and one was a boy. He'd be about 30 now.. the name was unusual then, as well, although glancing at the pop chart, not as unusual as I'd assumed.
If I used the name it'd be for a boy, but I like it on girls fine.
I'd kind of prefer Daina on a girl (unless someone tells me that it's prn differently from Dana).
