I really like this name and would probably consider using it as a mn. My mother's mn is Anne so it could be after her. Also I have heard different pronunciations for it. Please advise......

This is the name of a person I was very good friends with. She pronounced it Anna-lise because Ahna-lise sounds like On-a-leash.

I prefer the Annalisa form, which makes pronunciation clearer. The correct German pron. of Anneliese is ANN-eh-LEEZ-uh :-)

I don't care for it. I think it looks messy and awkward. And as you pronounce, I would pronounce it, too. But, since it would be honoring your mother, then I'd say as a middle name (like you said), it would work.
