[Opinions] Malerie
Saw the name Malerie (Mallory) on a check the other day. Had to look at it twice to make sure it wasn't maleria.
WDYT of this spelling? I think it is horrible!

Ick. Looks like the French word for malaria or something... It's like a combination of Valerie and Mallory! Don't like either name!
I love the name Mallorie. But that spelling is horrible
Lol!
Malerie reminds me about our word, the Danish, for an (art)painting, which is "maleri".
So I don't like it just one bit.

I think the spelling's awful and it does look like "malaria" at first glance.
But I don't care for the name in the first place. First, it doesn't have the nicest meaning in the world. Second, it's a male name to me, because it comes from the male form of the French word meaning "unfortunate".

Ugh .. that's much worse than Mallory, for somehow emphasizing the Mal- part, which always means 'bad' or 'ill' to me. I prefer Meleri (can't remember where I saw that one).

I don't care for the name, and like you said, that spelling does remind me of malaria. I prefer Mallory.

I like the name Mallory and have a friend who spells it Mallary which I really like. But I don't like Malerie either.
