I used to intensely dislike this name, as it was the name of a childhood dog I had (dumbest thing I've ever met). But, I've considerably warmed up to it since then, and now I must admit to liking it a lot-- it contains two elements in names that I really like ("anna" and "bel-"), and it just sounds very classy to me. If it weren't for the fact that I'm sure my mother would not be able to get over the association of our former dog, I would consider it a favorite.

I really only like the Annabel spelling-- anything else seems a bit too elaborate or incomplete. I think Annabel and Emilia would make excellent sisters. :)
