Karin's the Swedish form of Katherine, which is nice to know since Karen does seem prone to kre8iv spellings (Caryn, Karyn, Carin, etc). I like it if it's in honour of a Swedish heritage, otherwise in English it may be less confusing to go with the more familiar Karen, the Danish form of Katherine.
