I may be wrong, though. However, it does have the look, and sound, of a named merely created for the way it sounded.

Hmmm well I've come across a girl from Lithuania who has a net username "Taise"......... she says it was inspired from historic/legendary woman who was famed for her beauty.
However she may have interperated it into English slightly wrong.
