Sorry to post so soon but I forgot to add this. Is Rhett a good nickname for Everett? or is Everett good on it's own. The reason I ask is because all of my other favorite names just so happen to have nicknames and I just think Everett should have one. What do you think?

I love both names, Rhett works as a nn maybe spell Rett since thats the ending of Everett.

I have always considered Rhett a great nn for Everett; however, the name stand just fine on its own.

I think it's too much of a stretch - it seems a little contrived. I don't think Everett needs a nickname but I suppose Evvie (eh-vee) would be nice used informally.

I do love Rhett on its own though. The only reason I wouldn't use it is that I love Scarlett on a girl even more, and you could hardly have both in a sibling set :-S

I think you can nickname whatever you want. Rhett would fit, though I know a boy already with just that name, he's kind of weird but that's besides the point :P

I think Everett is good on its own but Rhett seems a logical nn for it though perhaps altering the spelling to Rett would make more sense. Or not.

I've heard of Rhett used as a nickname for Everett, however I see it as a name on its own so its sounds a bit strange to me. As I mentioned to you before, I call me nephew Ev for short. Kind of like Ed, but with a v. ; )
