Scandinavia, which, most commonly refers to Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, can, in certain contexts, also refer to the Scandinavian Peninsula, which (excluding Denmark), includes part of northern Finland. Based on their ethnolinguistic relations with Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, within this context, also include Iceland and the Faroe Islands. It has already been sourced below within an earlier comment regarding its usage. Within the following link, exists verification regarding the use of the name Bo as a female name also within Scandinavia.https://www.nordicnames.de/wiki/Bo_f

Emily the Strange, Emily the Corpse Bride, Emily Gilmore from Gilmore Girls, Emily Davis from the video game Until Dawn, Emily Withers from the video game Emily Wants to Play, See Emily Play by Pink Floyd, A Rose for Emily by The Zombies. So many good associations.. Emily may be basic but basic isn't a bad thing. It has a historical modern flair to it, I like it!

Gage yesterday, 6:31 PM by Anonymous User
I think Gage is a soft-spoken, gentle sort of name. I can picture it on a toddler and a grown man. The meaning of "oath/pledge" or promise is why I like it and would like to use it.Only immature, unenlightened children with nothing better to complain about will think of the sound of "gay". Those aren't the type of people you should waste your energy on :)

Artemis yesterday, 3:13 PM by NonieBee
Not sure if it has been said.I have noticed Artemis is a SUPER common pet name. ESPECIALLY Cats.
Usually female. But I have seen one male cat called Artemis.
Though I personally think it's silly, we must accept languages and names evolve it happens. Also
My partner named out Cat Artemis. I think it is fitting since she is a princess and she thinks she is a master huntress haha

Cocoa yesterday, 3:08 PM by NonieBee
I love this name.I honestly prefer Cocoa over Coco. I feel Coco has a more whimsical feel to it? Like Bobo(the clown), Momo, and other weird pet or nicknames.
But that opinion may be because I have had no interactions with the cultures and media from the cultures that "Coco" and similar names come from. And I personally love names that are after plants and flowers. Cocoa is a plant before it's a food item after all.I'm also biassed.
I gave Cat this name. Her name Was "Coco" when I adopted her. She already knew and responded to the name. I added the "a" when I officially registered her and made her mine

Henry yesterday, 2:57 PM by NonieBee
Henry and related names must have been VERY popular in Europe and Scandinavia afew generations ago.
While looking at our family tree, my partner and I found out we have multiple ancestors with the name.
(He's Norwegian and I'm Australian of English/Dutch/Danish descent.)
To name a few: His grandfather had Henry as his second name.
And my English great grandparents were Henry and Henrietta!I'm considering giving the name to my future son!

Wenonah yesterday, 2:24 PM by NonieBee
This is my name! I love it!
I use Nonie for short. (I use to like Wendy as a child but that was short lived.)My parents found it in my family tree, a great (great great) aunt had was named Wenonah. yes with this spelling!
It's quite odd!
I am actually Australian and my family is all European/Scandinavian Descent. That particular branch of the tree is from the UK. So we aren't sure why or how they chose the name!Bonus: I am indeed a first born daughter. I am the only born daughter! My mother was only able to have the one childAlso I want to add:
It has been a weird experience growing up with this name honestly. For YEARS it felt like NOONE could say or spell it correctly. Even family members took 20+ years to spell it right in Christmas cards. All my school years I had to correct teachers and deal with bullying because of my weird name. It was fine because I loved my name :)
Oh and if they did know the name people said,
"Oh like Winona Ryder!"Now the strange part; it has been the late millennials (like me) and the Gen Zs that have been able to read my name, say it right on the first try, and not react weirdly to it.
Just something I noticed!

Orpah yesterday, 12:14 PM by Anonymous User
I feel like people villainize Orpah way too much for what she'd done. Naomi told her and Ruth to go back to their mother's houses and Orpah obeyed. However if it wasn't for Ruth staying with Naomi, she wouldn't have an adopted son to carry on her bloodline. Orpah returned to her homeland Moab and worshipping her gods, and that's perfectly fine, because it took a lot of courage for Ruth to follow Naomi and abandon everything for her.

Jeremiah yesterday, 6:27 AM by EmmaSage
This name is super nice! It makes me think of Jeremiah Fisher from the book and TV series of The Summer I Turned Pretty. They called him Jere, which is such a cute nickname! This is definitely on the list for my future kids.

Maxwell yesterday, 6:22 AM by EmmaSage
I LOVE this name. If I have a son, this is certainly what I'm calling him. It is so refined and professional. But as he's younger, I'll definitely be using the nickname Max.

Dee yesterday, 6:10 AM by hello_1234
How bland. It's basically just a letter, because that's how it sounds. Maybe everyone else in the comments are just boomers, because I haven't heard anyone bring this up, but D = dick. It's a very common term now, and by naming your child this, while it may not be as bad as straight up naming it Dick, could easily result in some bad teasing in the future. Please just use this as a nickname.

Czesława yesterday, 6:08 AM by sharky1973
This was my great-aunt's name. She was born in Poland, although her parents had already emigrated to the United States a few years before her birth (they were in Poland to visit family when she was born). I am not sure what her U.S. identity papers said, but she always went by Jessie in America.

UGH, what could be worse than a person who doesn't look and act how you think they should?!!! Smart women whose primary focus is not making themselves attractive to you? AWFUL. Men who dress how they want, and aren't trying to appease your idea of normality when it comes to expressing themselves? DISGUSTING. Literally, what could be worse? I can't think of anything.

Muhyiddin yesterday, 3:13 AM by KF2001
Let's say your name is "Najib Mahathir bin Muhyiddin"? Your last name is Muhyiddin but it's your father's name! Since it's rude to call someone by his or her father's name, let's try this useful method:First name: Najib
Second name: MahathirBy doing this, "Mahathir" is now officially your surname and people will always call you by your 2nd name instead of your father's name!
