I don't really like either. I like Dorothy better.

I don't like either, but Doris is less feminine. Its sound is closer to the masculine names Boris, Horace and Morris - masculine names. Doris is only slightly better than Dorcas, and Dorota is slightly better than Doris.

I do like Teodora, Dorotea, Dorothy, and Dorothea though.

I prefer Dora to Doris and Dorothy to Dorota (in an English-speaking environment).

I love Doris! Dorota appeals to me less because it feels a bit truncated (though I know it's a Polish name).
